I’m a writer based out of Chicago, primarily focused on comics work and my first novel Midnight City is currently in development. I attended Illinois Wesleyan University and graduated in 2007 with a BA in Theater Arts & History. After working as an actor for a few years, I wrote several plays that were produced at various levels in the Chicagoland area, and some short plays that were produced at festivals across the country. While I enjoyed playwrighting, comic books have always been a passion of mine so a few years ago I decided to pursue that instead.

In 2014, Dan Hale and I created the Empty Grave Series and published our first issue. The final issue and the complete collection for Empty Grave is planned to be published in late 2021, and it has been a great experience working with Dan. I’ve published an anthology of my short comics work called Changes, the bulk of my short comics are also published here on my website for people to read. I have also published two issues of a spec series called Bedeviled with art by Rubens Lima, and a short comic called Crisp that I created with Ali Cantarella. I have two new comic books series that are being developed, and I will announce news about them hopefully by the end of the year.

Midnight City, a noir thriller set in Hell, is currently being written and developed, and as my first novel it has been a very interesting and beneficial experience. I’m looking forward to completing the first draft this Summer, and then revising and developing it after that. In the Fall of 2021, I will be starting Grad School at DePaul University in the Writing and Publishing program. I’m very excited about pursuing my Master’s degree in Creative Writing, and to learn from the very talented staff at DePaul.
